Sean Ratliff
One may ask; what's with the name "Goldchain?" Well, that's a good question. Sean S. Ratliff has had many nicknames over the years. Some lasted longer than others, but none has stood the test of time like "Goldchain." The nickname originated while Sean was studying Visual Communication at Northern Arizona University. Sean had taken a girlfriend shopping for some jewelry and while in the jewelry shop came upon a simple chain of 18K links that was on special. He purchased the chain and began to wear it. Upon a trip home to visit family and friends the new accessory became a topic of many questions and comments. Then one afternoon Sean's Mother took a phone call from one of Sean's friends who asked to speak with "Goldchain," Mrs. Ratliff called out to Sean: "Goldchain, O'dell is on the phone, he wants to go skate!" Upon graduating from college, Sean took residence in San Francisco for 9 months and the nickname was somewhat forgotten by Sean. When Sean returned to New Mexico in 2000 his friends took the nickname to new levels, so much so, that some people still would not know Sean by any other name than "Goldchain." While in New Mexico, Sean has had his graphic design and photography featured and/or used in/on various exhibits, posters, skateboards, T-shirts, CD covers, etc.
